Due to my failure to find these at any physical nursery (yet), I have decided to mail-order these from Garden Crossings in Michigan. A couple of years back, well-known plantsman Tim Wood at Spring Meadow Nursery in Grand Haven MI tweaked some hydrangea arborescens into producing some stronger blooms and stems when it comes to the pink and red spectrums. These will be in within a week's time and planted, and will be getting revved up over the winter for the 2017 growing season!

Keep up the good work your specimens look amazing i also live in the pittsburgh area. I have read a number of your older posts on gardenweb and just found this blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nursery update its not a waste of gas it helped. I also really enjoy the new intoductions posts some of the plants do as advertised. Its great to know someone else is trying to grow some of these newer hydrangea like i am. Endless summer has been all hype for
me dave ramsey is better.Looking for better performance from my remonant hydrangea.the quest for a mophead that blooms every year no dieback in zone 6a/b continues. thanks again.
